"October light." The low angle sun in the crystal-clear part of the sky reflects up off all that last gasp riverbank green, and lights up mile-thick, snow-soon thunderheads from underneath. I've never seen that sky anywhere in the world except for here in the near-midwest.
We are privileged to live out our lives by the light of the Hudson River School. Don't tell the Californians; they'd never understand.
