The Dynamite Gun

Apparently, it was real, though one of the more interesting descriptions has an eye to putting it in a decidedly unreal context. Still: dynamite gun! Kewl. Not to mention the dynamite gunship.

    Dude says Vesuvius never saw active service, which flies in the face of the Wikipedia entry that says it made at least one coastal bombardment during the Spanish-American War. Who's telling the truth?

    A couple of the early U.S. Navy Holland submarines mounted a pneumatic dynamite gun in the bow.
