Dr. Jeffrey D. Goodyear, Department of Zoology, University of British Columbia, Canada is a well known researcher of the pinniped. He's one of the few people to get a permit to take them for the purpose of scientific research.
Either that or they are small, gray and somewhat airship shaped.
I'm with B -- the blimp-like body shape. We have a cat. Looks like she swallowed a basketball. If we didn't already abuse her by calling her Porkchop, I might be tempted to call HER Goodyear.
I was looking up walrus on Wikipedia for some reason, possibly connected to the giant RV Admiral Byrd took to Antarctica one year, and it struck me that "pinnaped" meant not flipperfoot, but wingfoot.
