Everyone in my family used one of those cups and a non-standard, worn-down tablespoon to "measure" stuff - plus "pinches", of course. I have never learned to enjoy <i>sweetened</i> cornbread. God's recipes don't include sugar in cornbread! I still count "glugs" to measure liquids from containers, count "seconds" for water from the faucet, and, for most things, measure as did the four generations of foremothers whom I remember. Our old wood-burning cook stoves took finesse on the part of the cook.<br /><br />No more than I cook or like to cook, a good stove would be wasted on me; but, I'll hope that you get <i>your</i> new stove soon.Cop Carnoreply@blogger.com
