Indy Meetup, More
How does 11 May sound? Looks like it is either that or the 4th. (There's a faint possibility I could be involved in Big Doings at the Skunk Works 4 May, but it should be am-ish if it happens at all).
Actually I was thinking more 18th.Gives more people more time to plan. ANd the whole moms day thing is offputting, plus this weekend is pretty full already.
Though nobody is ever disapointed if I don't show.
June, it's lookin' like; I start getting into familty birthdays (plus Mother's Day!) in the second half of May, and there's the NRA 2A Blogger Bash (and for me, the Dayton Hamvention, too) the weekend of 16, 17 and 18 May.
HOWEVER, we need to do a small meet & yak soon, lest I have to pry Tam down off the ceiling some fine evening. I'm not much company, working six days.
So how about something smallish the evening of 10 or 11 May (or even this coming weekend) and then look to June for a real to-do?
I think June makes more sense, especially since there is a State Fairgrounds Indy 1500 sometime in early June (I think)...or at least it seems that way to me, don't want to be an Alpha male or anything.
As for this coming weekend, jeez nice thought, but its going to have to rain...hard, or otherwise work is calling.
If you did this this weekend, can you suggest a time? I would try to drag the Ogwife out for an evening, if we could drive down early afternoon-ish, and come back before, say, ten.
Og, Red, whoever else -- how's 3:00 pm Sunday 4 May at Broadripple Brewpub (or Bewpub) sound?
I'm hoping to avoid being roped into the (screaming inconvenient mess), er, wonderful happening at the Skunk Works that day and if not, I can chivvy Tam up that way via the telephone.

I may make it, I'll be heading back from Rochester IN that day
ReplyDeleteMay 11th is "iffy" for me, Mother's Day you know. Have family activities already planned.
ReplyDeleteThanks, though.
All The Best,

yep, Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteHow about sometime in June, so we can do some planning?

I'm up for any time, but agree with Og that this weekend is a bit ... er, sudden.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention it's Derby Weekend, which means inter-city traffic ANYWHERE within a couple hundred miles of Louisville is gonna be a b*tch.
M
and isn't the NRA/Gunblogger Bash in Louisville the weekend of the 18th, too?
ReplyDeleteYes, anything the weekend of the 16, 17, or 18th is going to be right out for me because I'll be in Louisville for NRA Annual Meetings.
ReplyDeleteEarly June would be good with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm on call on May 11th and Murphy likes to give me emergency tickets on the weekend if I make plans while on call.
Of course we could always do two ;-)
ReplyDelete11th anytime better than 5th. Then there's the 500 stuff for the rest of the month, which will also pack Broadripple.
June...?

Sounds good, just let me know. We only about 5 minutes from Ripple.

The first two Sundays are right out for me.
ReplyDeleteIf Tam's feening for company too badly, send her off to hang out at a gun shop or something... or she could come help my wife with gardening!
And Frank, what'd be wrong with you bein' an alpha male?
ReplyDeleteI'll stand toe-to-toe an' yell right back, given the proper circumstances, but I expect people to have a sho'-nuf spine, doggone it.
