I made this image, then decided to not post it. Then the Pride Of Chicago started runnin' TV ads with the general theme of "Ein Volk, Ein Partie, Ein Reich" and beseems me that one good turn deserves another.
He's going to "roll back the Geo. Bush Tax cut that benefits the rich," meanin' rich people like me and the bills I am keeping only barely ahead of -- bills for extravagant stuff like heat, light, water and $30-a-pair denim dungarees. His wife informs me she's takin' a slice of my pie in the name of the soi-disant Greater Good and that under an Obama regime, I can kiss my comfort goodbye. But you know what's the worst? McCain -- that fearless foe of the First Amendment -- is startin' to look better and better all the time.
Y'know, I wept that I only had hot mud to eat...until they handed me a bowl of cold mud.
...Then there's Mrs. Clinton and the Iron Rice Bowl she's promisin'. Lady, it didn't work so well in Mao's China.
Sigh.

ReplyDeleteThey talk and talk and talk more. Some of the stuff they talk about gets through the government. Some doesn't. McCain looks good. I feel like every time a Democrat gets into office my taxes go up. But who knows what's going to happen. I wish they had to live a low income life for awhile before they went into office. And as comfort....I guess my Starbuck coffee is going to end, as well as air conditioning...
ReplyDeleteMud? You had mud?
ReplyDeleteLoooooxury....
And, soi-disant? That's powerful stuff, I need to lie down briefly.
"...every time a Democrat gets into office my taxes go up."
ReplyDeleteSeems like every time ANYBODY gets into office, my taxes go up.
Really disheartening when one of the best case scenarios involves Iran blowing up New York so Hillary has to become "the most uncompromising wartime president in U.S. history." Can I have a do-over?
I dunno.
ReplyDeleteMr. "None of the Above" is starting to look pretty good.
NOTA looked good to me on Day One!
ReplyDeleteI did not expect the revolutionary socialism to be quite so overt.
All things considered, I am just abour certain to be voting for whoever the LP runs in the main event. It's just like voting "NOTA." There's no point voting for candidates with whomone does not agree; it's not like there's some prize for guessing the winner. Elections are not horse races.
I never know who I'm going to vote for until I actually get into the booth and see who the Libertarians are running for President. My first vote was for Roger McBride. He had achieved a measure of fame four years earlier when, as a Presidential "elector" from Virginia, he refused to cast his vote as directed by the rules of the Electoral College.
