About Caliber Wars
There's nothing wrong with hittin' targets with a bigger hammer. In my amateur opinion, the actual challenge is having a hammer at all when you need it.
I discovered long ago smaller = lighter = more likly to be in a pocket. It is just not practicle to carry heavy and large at all times. Not to poo poo those who can. More power to em. It is always better to have and not need than to need and not have. And placement is king.
We need more hammer control! There is no sporting purpose for those evil black hammers! It's for the chillin's! Close the hammer show loop hole! When you outlaw hammer's only nails will have hammers... err. What were we talking about again?
Hammer control? That means not whackin' your thumb!
Funny thing about hammers -- the better you can control them, the more useful they are; and the more useful the bigger ones are. H'mmm. Sure are a lotta tools work that way....
I don't think anyone can -- though (of course) I prefer the British Warrington-patternzine, 'cos of the better striking dynamics. Plus, too many of the Estwing sort have curved claws, which aren't as...."useful." So to speak.

The gun in your hand is worth more than the one back home.

There is a naughty comment here, but I shall refrain.
ReplyDeleteYup, the more you control a hammer, the more useful they are. An uncontrolled hammer on the other hand...well, ya only need to whap your thumb once.
You still have a long way to go to beat "Estwingazine".

ReplyDeleteRoberta! You're an Engineer! An Electronics Engineer certainly! But, an Engineer.
ReplyDeleteYour opinion is not amateur.
I'd turn to Tam for her opinion on what works, then to you for why it works.
