I'm headed for the kitchen, to make a kind of Breakfast Hash incorporating bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, leeks and probably cheese and diced radishes as a topping. Maybe carrots, too. Washed down with good, Chemex-brewed coffee.
Yum!
Top o' the Mornin' to you!
ReplyDeleteEgg in a nest (toad in a hole to you), lightly buttered; 1 slice Trader Joe's uncured turkey bacon; 12 oz. Trader Joe's Columbian coffee, brewed to furniture-stripping strength with two spoonfuls of sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of 2% milk. All for less than 300 calories. Booyah.
ReplyDeleteYours still sounds better. >_<
Sounds good; I'd probably dump some jalapeƱos on top to round it out.
ReplyDeleteChemex was new to me so I had to Google it and have learned something new - I am more of a "French Press" man as I believe you colonials call them.
ReplyDeleteThe breakfast sounded awesome.
I have a great fondness for breakfast -- my various sorts of "breakfast hash," or Swedish pancakes (nearly crepes), popovers or French toast, especially. (Oooo, one could load up popovers with breakfast hash... H'mmmm. Lotta work but so worth it).
ReplyDeleteCoffee, when I want take a break from the Chemex, I have a vacuum brewer. Alas, not this one. Yet.
