Which Book Is Whose?

The early Colt pistols always remind me of Taxi in "Max Brand's" "Silvertip" Westerns.
Several of the anachronistic scenes between "Jim Silver" and Taxi feature an early Colt self loader. Silvers comments about the relative reliability of revolvers must have made an impression.
