"Dig faster, I think they're gaining on us." Tam hopes the lame-duck Dems can find something (comparatively) low-impact to fuss over. Me, I'm torn: if they pull anything majorly stupid now, it will hurt them come the next elections; on the other hand, if they keep their hands off the economy and things improve, they'll look better to voters.
On the other other hand, I'd like to put off the day when a dollar won't buy a dollar-sized scrap of wallpaper for just as long as possible....
The only reason paper dollars won't be used for toilet tissue is that they aren't soft and absorbent.
ReplyDeleteAlthough come to think of it, they still might be better for the purpose than corncobs. So I'll hedge that prediction a little...:)

ReplyDeleteMost of the electorate don't have memories nearly that long.
If it's stupid enough, the effects will last that long. And a gambling man might hope the party that just got a toe in the door would get the blame: there are some pols who'd just as soon crash the economy now, and hope to blame the Tea Party GOP later.
ReplyDeleteFar better they should pursue goals more moonbatty.
