No time for much, I have to get an early start. Maybe more later, depending on where I have lunch.
On shirts featuring the Lupine's "nose-cone art," what size should the artwork be? Right now, the image file's big enough for the Zazzlers to do a largeish pocket-type logo, maybe 2.5" or 3" across, upper left. Or I could scale up and do a big version, centered. Any preference?
And I need to pick a time and place for a DECEMBER BLOGMEET. 12 or 19 December?
...The first batch of I Work On A Starship paperbacks should be in my hands this evening. These are essentially "galleys," to be picked over for errors. Of the total (8), I'll only keep two.
And there is a T-shirt design available now! Official Lupine Engineering Shirt. (Ours are ash-grey, btw, but you can pick whatever color/style you'd like)
19 Dec would be better for me, if only because my wife is nagging me to make space in the garage for her van preparatory to the foot of snow we're supposed to get Sunday night...
ReplyDeleteI think the pocket-type logo would be better, but I am an inveterate polo shirt wearer when I am not wearing aloha shirts. :)
I would be pleased to work over one of your galleys if you should so honor me.
I would personally prefer a full chest t-shirt style print.
ReplyDeleteBut a pocket logo sized screen on a t-shirt, perhaps with a pithy phrase 'pon the back? That could work too.
I vote the 19th, as well. The weather this weekend is supposed to be quote-unquote fun.
ReplyDeleteLarge logo!
ReplyDeleteI'd suggest both: a chest-size logo for pocketless tees, and a pocket-size logo for tees with a pocket. Best of both worlds. I prefer tees with pockets, so I'd go for the latter option, but some prefer them without, and they can have the larger logo.
ReplyDeletePerhaps small logo on the front pocket, large on the back? Or, is that over the top?
ReplyDeleteOR, small logo on the pocket, with CREWMEMBER, in bold, below?
I can do all of these (and more besides), but the trade-off is, the more art, the more it costs.
ReplyDeleteI can probably do either
ReplyDeleteHowever the weather for the weekend is supposed to be rain and freezing rain.
On the other hand on the 18 and 19th I'll be picking up family, so depends on when they come and when the blogmeet is.
Pfft, family. This is a blogmeet.
ReplyDelete/I keed, I keed.
FWIW I'm also available on the 12th, and for birthday parties and bar mitzvahs. (The 12th would have been Christmas on my mom's side, but guess what got canceled 'cause Grandma's feelin' poorly? So: I'm technically free both weekends.)
I think the small logo on the left breast area would look best, with ENGINEERING printed in large letters on the back (like SECURITY or STAFF T-shirts)
ReplyDeleteRob: Totally on it.
ReplyDeleteI would buy that shirt.
ReplyDeleteCan I change my vote to what Rob K said? :)
ReplyDeleteTried to comment Over There, but I can't, so... I ass-u-me there'll be a perma-link Over There to your store?
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm guessing that the products that show up when I click "All Products--Roberta X" are not, in fact, yours. If you scroll down, you'll see why.
ReplyDeleteAnother vote for Rob's idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat Rob said.
ReplyDeleteD.W., I can barely get Zazzle to work (in terms of setting up to sell stuff, the product design process is fine) and in My Store, I see NO products. I can get to the product pages, though.
ReplyDeleteI would come on the 19th.
ReplyDeleteI would try to come on the 12th.
Rob nailed it.
ReplyDeleteOnly if they cost less than a 250 box of .45ACP.
ReplyDeleteBut then again 'I gotsa have some'!
When?
Aw, man, I know I squee'd over the "Engineering" design, but having seen them, and having just today finished my last day of EMT school, I can't decide if I wouldn't rather have one that said "MEDICAL" across the back instead.
ReplyDeleteThat can be done. It looks like I have to redo the mug anyway.
