Maybe we should look for someplace we've never gone before. I had a bright idea, Zest,* but they close up shop at 3:00 on Sunday. Suggestions? ________________________ * You should go there. You'll be happy.
I move we do like always: show up and see if anyone notices. Um, look, I'm not comfortable with this, but in the interest of being able to stay long enough to eat, could everyone agree not to carry long guns? 'Cos that seems to provoke some folks and the food really is quite good.... They have Sun King beer, too!
I think I've got Longhorn Jeff lined up this time . . . but you do have to choose a place. We will, of course, defer to the actual Hoosiers in choice of location.
Leaning towards the Monon Food Company (see link in sidebar at top) and since Eagle Creek Range won't open until week after next, probably no shoot -- though I am overdue to shoot at Pop Guns.
Hey, we're coming from Illinois--can we bring you guys anything? A Democrat legislator? We've got Indiana home-style, and we're going right past Champaign, too. No bother.
Monon Food Company it is. If they are too full or too whatever (or not whatever enough), Broad Ripple brew Pub is right across the street. Finding someplace to eat in Broad Ripple is rarely a problem.
...I totally forgot the Canal Bistro. Gotta go back there some time!
Leaving home in a few minutes. Not bringing any bangsticks; it's just not part of my routine and it's too much hassle to gather everything. I don't carry a gun every day; I don't even carry a permit every day.

Awww, you just want some of that "Crème Brûlée French Toast"!
ReplyDelete27th is fine, is Monon Food Co. CCW-friendly?
27th sounds OK at the moment.
ReplyDeleteO.G., I don't know. Should we ask?
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever seen any signs. The food's good...

ReplyDeleteIt makes me quite sad to be 1000 miles away. I wish I could swing by and buy you all a round. Or a figurative round. Or a box of ammo.
ReplyDeleteHave fun.

ReplyDeleteIs this shooty/eaty or just an eaty day?

ReplyDeleteJeff is quite . . . .enthusiastic about the blogmeet. Are we pretty well settled on Monon Food Company? That works for us.
