    Aw, why'd they have to shoot so many of the pore harmless animals, anyway? Als they had to do was sing,"can't give you anything but love, baby", and they'd hop into the cages by themselves. I saw it in some documentary Katherine Hepburn made once.

    I thought it was unutterably sad -- but what are you going to do? Police agencies are rarely equipped to do a real-world reenactment of Hatari.

    Their deaths are the fault of their former owner. Shoot yourself, fine, but don;t be a jerk and doom your critters.
