So... One of our mostest super double-top-secret spy drones is in Iran? Lesse...
The Iranians claim that the shot it down. The (ahem) unidentified intelligence agency claims that they "lost control" over the damned thing and were trying to figure out what happened to it.
Yet, it appears to have landed, wheels down, safe and sound in Iran.
What's wrong with this picture?
Watched the video, no markings at all? That's not like the U.S. Gov. Even CIA would have serial number markings, etc. It's not like they could deny it was an American drone, so there's no point in leaving it completely unmarked.
Put me in the "unconvinced, but looking for more information" category.
Not to call the administration unpatriotic but the do believe in leveling the playing field.

Like jetfxer69, I'm in the "need more info" camp.
But I wonder who was being sent the data from that key-logging software on the controller-computers.
In earlier stories some .gov rep said it was programmed to "find" a place and land if it lost the control signal. If true, whoever made that decision needs to be tried for treason.
Seriously, if you're going to do that, why not choose a known recovery point in friendly territory? Otherwise, it's going to find a place to land in enemy territory, since that's where it's going to be operating.
I just want to know what happened to the idea of keeping things secret. Not too long ago, any gizmo that sensitive and that highly classified would have had some C-4 strategically placed and be programmed to self-destruct if it couldn't make it back to the aforementioned recovery point.
When did the military forget what "security" means?
