Wait, he has an investigation committee composed of people who have had children killed by firearms? Not of people who have had children saved by firearms, perhaps such as the father of the 12-year-old girl who, while an invader was kicking down the front door, grabbed her father`s pistol and ammo, loaded it, and shot when the invader was kicking in the door of the bathroom where she had taken refuge? Gee, I wonder if that group will decide to allow easing up on restrictions?
And "assault pistols" is about as meaningful as "assault pens" - yes, a couple of teens got in trouble when they used a ball-point pen to stab the guy who was hitting them (OK, because he did not want to pay them for the stolen laptop they tried to sell him, but still."
And of course, "military" style weapons. Can anyone name a [generic] weapon, including rocks, never used by military?
The reporter did bring up "downstate" and "residents of [dangerous] neighborhoods," but allowed him to slide past giving any response.
