We Will Save Syria

...Even if we have to bomb it flat!  --After all, that approach has always worked in the past, right?

     And remember kids: polls looking bad?  Start a war!

    As Ser Niccolo Machiavelli pointed out some 500 years ago:

    "If a Prince has, by his actions caused his subjects to hate him, he should (start) a foreign war..."

    Looks like Obama is another who keeps The Prince on his bedside table. Just like Mao, Amin, Chavez, and the rest of the bunch.

    Or perhaps Valerie Jarret reads.

    According to conventional wisdom wars do tend to be good for the US economy.

    But I think the President should have to pawn his Nobel Peace Prize to pay for the first bullet this time around.

    Presidents are damn good at getting us into wars and damn bad at getting us out.

    Maybe we should stipulate they're sent to the front line for combat if it doesn't end during their term.

    I agree with Robert Fowler. But I've been saying the same thing about the drug-gang-infested neighborhoods in our town for the last 20 years. As long as they keep it down in the 'hood, they can kill each other all they like.

    In Syria's case, both sides are smart enough not to provoke Israel...or at least, they'd better be.

    I used to be pretty hawkish on this sort of issue, now? Not so much.
