Hmm, I'm confused (as normal)! Where's the "the strange-looking elderly woman"? Is she hiding behind you? Or is this more confusing Amerenglish - 'elderly' meaning 'between 20 and 30'? (strange obviously being 'wow').
Keep posting pics like that and I'm changing next months itinerary from Round Rock(TX), Salem (AR) and Orofino (ID) to Indi (I'm practicing my deep knee bends for the proposal, just in case - I've got the 'getting down on one knee' off pat. I only have to get the 'getting back up assistance' down to one, sans hoist, and we're on!).

Join a very large crowd of us who have the same reaction. That is one of the main reasons why I hate to have my picture taken. It's not so much a do or don't look the age thing, either - it's not matching the look like I think image.
Huck has highly expressive ears and body language. He manages to say quite a lot, much of it having to do with the unfairness of keeping him from hunting -- critters outside, Rannie, other people's dinners, etc.
And remember, I'm 5'10" and my Mother's sisters (all of them 6' and up!) used to look at my hands and sigh, "It's such a pity your mother sold the piano..." Huck's a *huge* cat to look big in my arms.
My husband swears that Huck is related to Leif. He keeps insisting it by sending these photos. And if it weren't for a swirl of cream over the eyebrow and a loop of white over the nose, they'd be twins. Oh, and Leif is a bit shaggier in the hindquarters, and has a prominent mud flap.
But that's because he's an indoor kitteh. Our roads are carnivorous. Drivers speed up when they see animals in the road. Lost too many fur friends like that when I was young. Ya know, I actually live in Indiana, too. We have to make it out for a blog meet sometime, and trade stories.
We've been putting piles of bird seed and feed corn in front of our glass front door. I call it "Kitty TV". I'm trying to get pictures of the cats and the squirrels as they face off with two panes of glass between them. I sometimes wonder how they would react to suddenly finding themselves outside with the prospective prey.

Well, let's face it - he's a hunting studhammer and you should be recognizing his mad skilz!!!
ReplyDeleteRatbane would have been insisting that he should be allowed to go and bring home a few rabbits to add to the pot. I'm sure Huck feels the same.
ReplyDeleteWow! A very rare sighting of the Broad Ripple miniature biting tiger - outdoors.

He's a big kitty!
ReplyDeleteI love how non-pulsed he looks in the 2nd picture versus how intense he is in the 3rd
Well.....
ReplyDeleteI do recall in Witches Abroad Greebo saying he'd always wanted to be ginger.
Reincarnation?
BGM
He is looking more and more semi aquatic. Orange creamsicle colored miniature land killer whale.
ReplyDeleteIn some ways, he's a very Greebo-like cat -- he managed to pick up an ear notch early on.
ReplyDeleteAble: flatterer!
If he's got Greebo in him, you better watch out. You know what the witches turned him into, don't ya?
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah. Able said it, but we're all thinkin' it.
ReplyDeleteRoberta, in all seriousness, and no intent to upset you, its really a nice picture of you.
ReplyDeleteI suppose it is -- not upset, just the older I get, the less I recognize myself in photographs.
ReplyDeleteWhen did I turn into a taller, outdoorsy version of my Mom?

Those ears! They speak as many volumes about the cat as they do about the horse.

ReplyDeleteAs for not recognizing self in photos, today our private shooting range club converted to photo ID style badges for members.
ReplyDeleteI now have a club badge with my father's photograph on it evidently.
Boy, you guys weren't kidding when you said he was a big cat!
