Yes, it's happy-voting time, when you get to help decide on some of the obnoxious nitwits who will be pushing you around!
I shouldn't have to say this to readers of this blog, but for the record:
1. Do your homework, judge candidates carefully.
2. Vote your conscience
If you won't do #1, do the rest of us a favor and stay home.
Remember....if you want to get good stuff....you will vote democrat
ReplyDeleteDone. I've moved away from Indy to the US Northeast, and I just don't know enough about the local issues and personalities to make an informed choice. There is also no doubt at this point who my congresscritter and governor will be, or whether the Coke or Pepsi party will control the state legislator.

ReplyDeleteAnon: I will? Rilllllly?
ReplyDeleteYou're not gonna like a lot my ballot, divided as it is among three different parties. I ain't votin' for loot; I'm voting for first, competence, and if I can't get that, stalemate.
T'hell with your party lines. They just get us Party suckups -- and Parties who figure that's all we otta be offered.
I'm a fan of voting out judges - everything else I vote to create gridlock. The more they fight eachother the less harm they can do to us.
ReplyDeleteHow is it, the one race that had three party's, the one I didn't vote the L, the libertarian candidate is actually making a race of it? Last I looked, Carson and Mayo were running neck and neck. Having met and talked with Cat Ping in several non-traditional setting in non-election years, I threw her my check mark.

Okay, that was weird; I was watching 6 election updates and it had been showing Mayo with 5, Carson with 46 and Ping with 4% with 35% precincts reporting for about 10 minutes. It stopped showing the 7th district for about 20 minutes and when it came back, it had Carson with 50%, Ping with 46% and Mayo with 4. I was so excited that Carson was losing. Now I'm just bummed.

Yep, get beyond the sound bites... Get to the real issues and positions!
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking about the relative merits of the religious order "Nun of the Above"...
