Nope. One never does. I've had variants and additions to chronic pain since I was 49. Fortunately judicious application of OTC and prescription meds does help. I've been told to adopt an attitude of pain not being a problem, but rather an inconvenience. Sometimes, that helps. Sometimes.
My Doc had me try Tramadol for my chronic head to toe joint pain (it's not arthritis or some other things, what it is we don't know yet) & while that doesn't do anything for the truly bad days it sure makes a difference the rest of the time.
