It's the Indianapolis Hamfest! My upper respiratory tract infection lingers but is down to sinus congestion, so I'm goin'.
This hamfest is put on by a consortium of local radio clubs. The biggest -- and originator of this event -- is the Indianapolis Radio Club, one of the oldest local clubs still in existance. The club started in 1914!
Lots of median-aged Yaesu and Kenwood HF rigs available this year, but prices started at $400; sorry, too rich for my blood. Fewer vendors this year than last, but less mud :-)
ReplyDeleteI took $300 and only bought breakfast. But had some good eyeball QSOs. If I'd have found a TYT 220 rig at W9SMJ's booth, I'd have bought it, but all he had in 220 was handhelds.
I hope you have better luck.
I saw your haul. Danged good.
