Thank you, and I will be looking at some more videos by the Marble Machine Guy. The machine looks to be completely mechanical and I appreciated the explanation that included mentioning that some of the actuators on the wheel have larger sizes and longer lead in times because they are ringing larger chimes. And using a muzzle loading cannon barrel as a counter weight was neat.
I should have remembered to say thank you for this. It made me think of the pictures I've seen of European cathedrals destroyed in both world wars, how great that this tower is intact. Several scenes of them in this:
