Santa Sent Me Something

     An eBay shipment showed up yesterday, a fine old Bill Eddy cartoon matted and framed.  I wondered if I had ordered something while I was recovering from anesthesia, and checked my eBay page.  Nope!

     Who ever you are, thank you.  It's wonderful!  I'd post it at work, but the Chief Engineer might take exception.

    I could post that in so many places with so many jobs inserted as "chief engineer" (including "chief engineer") I've worked in over the years

    Like getting in trouble for posting a Dilbert. My question was "what makes you think it's about you?" The stammering was amusing but might have contributed to my position high on the layoff list...

    I think at least one of the MAD magazine cartoonists cribbed elements of Mr. Eddy's style (dipped if I can remember whom: it's been ages since I've seen an old issue of MAD).
