Presently -- 11:35 a.m. EST, about 10:46 a.m. as the Sun flies* -- it's -4°F, down from three below when I hailed my lazy self out of bed at 9:00 a.m. Today's predicted high is three above (three above!) and we might not actually get there.
Welcome to 2018. I'm not going outside unless I absolutely have to.

* Thanks to the halfwits who think it is cool and exciting to be New York City time, ooooh. So by the Sun, we're on Daylight Savings Time all Winter and double-Daylight all Summer. I think Wednesday is triple-Daylight-coupon day but where would you turn them in?
If we’d all go to UTC, there would be less confusion.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, and please, stay inside :)
At least Arizona is resisting the Daylight Savings plague ... for now.
ReplyDeleteSub-zero weather is what a basket-full of kittens on your lap were made for.
ReplyDeleteWell, for the three-point-two seconds they remain in your lap, anyways.
Just think of the endless hours of aerobic exercise you get rounding them up!
(Never you mind the incessant mewling and the needle-like teeth they have...)
