I should post something today, but I'm just exhausted. Got up this morning to help my sister with her cat at the vet. The poor old tomcat had ingrown claws! He wasn't wanting anyone to touch his front feet, but he let the vet soak them and trim his claws.
Tam and I had brunch after that and I have mostly just sat since.
thinking of you. Dealing with loss IS exhausting. Sit if you need to. Stare at the wall if you need to.

To echo anonymous, tincture of time is the only possible medicine. And even it doesn't heal, just makes the pain into a tolerable ache.
It will never be OK that she's gone. When your parents pass it is an upheaval to the universe. They were the ones that vanquished the monsters under your bed, and fixed your scraped knees, and dealt with the broken hearts.
ReplyDeleteIt does get easier to endure over time. My mother passed away in April of 2001, and there are still days I want to pick up the phone to tell her about my day.
Get some rest. We, your loyal fans, do not expect you to be scintillating right now. Get your headspace and timing back. We'll wait.
