Running current (auto-updated) Firefox on an elderly HP G60 laptop with Win7. No problems with crashing, but occasionally one of the add-ins will develop a memory leak overnight requiring a Firefox restart.
Probably the computer. Since I have switched to laptops I have fewer issues other than the dinky keyboard. And my total lack of actual skills in typing.
I don't use Firefox anymore either. Brave for the most part and it and I agree mostly on what it does not like.

Good luck on figuring out the issues.
In my mostly-ignorant opinion, I'll say the computer. I'm happy with the current Firefox. The fun will end on January 24th, however.
