Frosty The Snow-Arsonist

...Lit the old sofa on fire.... Snowglobe is a fire hazard.

It's spelt p-h-y-s-i-c-s, kids. Big convex transparent object = magnifying lens. Isn't it pretty in the sunshine? And how cheerily the carpet smolders!

  1. Noticed some time ago that magnifier lights now come with fire starter warnings, and sometimes lens covers. Much like the warning for my camera, "when adjusting viewfinder diopter, do not stick finger into eye!", this means that it happend at least once.

  4. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. OK, I'm laughing but wondering how I too can fleece these people.

A hundred dollar fire starter! Ha!

    Merry Christmas, Roberta.

  5. We've got scorch marks on the frame of our bay window from a snow globe or some other glass knickknack doing that years back. We're fortunate it was mostly cloudy on the days between the time I put it there and I noticed the bright spot...
