Ha-HA!

Billboard demands a job from the President. Pretty funny, kid -- but that's not his job. Well, other than hiring for a few jobs in the White House and nearby. (Would any of you have experience at Solicitor-Generaling? It's indoors work; some part-time may be available...).

  1. I'm sorry, but actually it IS his job. Part of it anyway. If he want's to be God, then he has to note when the sparrows are falling.

It's part and parcel of "Keeping the voters happy."

  3. It's not his job to create jobs. It is in his power to get the gov't out of the way so that jobs can be created.

Regardless of the letter after their name, no politician is going to say "You know, the best way for me to help you out is to leave you alone". Granted, I'd vote for them in a second, I've just become too jaded to think it's every going to happen in sufficient enough numbers to make a difference.

  5. But didn't he promise that the sea levels would begin to fall after he was elected? I think he thinks full control of the universe is quite within his scope.

Its just the petty details that bug him, like people wanting to live, people wanting some semblance of real freedom in their lives, you know all that sort of stuff.

  6. I think JohnB meant that Obama seems to think it's his job, so he'd better put our money where his mouth is.
