I Work On A Starship: Almost A Book

I have a couple of test copies coming. Softcover, 111 pages, 8.5" x 11", which is bigger than I'd like. Includes Another Day and most of the short yarns -- I still have to copy a couple over from this blog to the IWOAS blog. Price? A low, low $20.75 American, FOB Roseholme Cottage.

Interested? I have other options, this one (Blog2Print TM) just happened to be quick and easy.

There's another chapter of Frothup: Dropping In almost ready to post, too.

  1. Another Day runs over 15,000 words. Can I get an autographed copy?

  2. I would likewise be interested in an autographed copy, we can discuss terms at your leisure. If my e-mail isn't embedded in this comment then a comment on mine will work as well.

  3. Goodness! Okay. What I'm gettin' (in about a week) amounts to galleys; I've already found and fixed a number of typos and three or four duplicated paragraphs. So it might be two weeks before final versions are in my hands.

  4. Adding to the earlier, I think I am now the THIRD request for an autographed copy.

Your influence spreads, even to Dayton. :-)

  5. I'd be interested.

    Especially if you autographed it....

I mean, I already have your roommates autograph on CC mag, yours on a book would make me complete..

    Srsly, I'll take one.

  6. If we can figure out how to get an unmolested copy to the wilds of eastern Texas (I hear the Pony Express no longer runs this way), I'd like a copy also.

    We can trade autographs! :)

  7. Count me in.

wv: inadmism. Trying to get a mistrial, the defense attempted an inadmism.

  8. Oh, yeah, I want one! even if it's not autographed. I haven't been able to keep up the past few weeks, so that would be an excellent way to catch up.

  9. Absotively, posilutely.

WV: mycon. After the contretemps involving Elizabeth Moon, I understand your reluctance to be Guest of Honor, but I promise there will be no such silliness at MyCon...

  10. PS: You should charge extra for autographed copies. Well, maybe not for good friends.

WV: scrysses. You ladies do scrying?

  11. Add me to the autographed request list please.

  14. Oh goodie! Santa's coming early! Keep us informed when it's all finalized. Don't need mine autographed, but maybe a Leather-bound Limited Edition on Acid Free paper in an Illuminated Format....

  15. Les: Gonna cost ya. Color printing/hard cover version works out to something in the $50.00 range, if I remember correctly. I thoight that was a bit much; someone who was doing a few copies of a family blog might not.

Everyone: Autographing is free. Books will sell at my cost. Postage, I'll see about either book rate or a flat-rate envelope; international readers get the same rate, just 'cos.

Payment will be in advance but not yet! I need to see the proofs and then (if I'm happy with the quality) I'll have to front the cash to the printer.

  16. Tack one more onto the list of "We'd like to see if we can give you carpal tunnel from signing all these things." If necessary (or if simply desired) I'll even try to bribe the author with a batch or two of atomic cocoa mix.

  17. That's more than a dozen requests for signed copies! So I guess using a quill pen is out, huh?

  18. So is this why the feed in my sidebar for I work On A Starship has been posting year-old posts?

    ReplyDelete
  19. D.W.: Yep. I had to port the old posts over. A few more yet to do, sorry!

  20. (PS: Atomic Cocoa? Ooooo! I accidentally snorted some of the last batch: picked up the bag upside down. Sadness. So, unh, color me bribed).

  21. I think I'm the first international reader to request. Hey ... the Canuck loonie flirts with parity all the time.

Let us know ... we'll pay the freight ... including surcharges, tariffs, fees, handling, etc., etc.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes of course I'd like an autographed copy meself.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh, I belive Canuckistani loonies are the equal of any in the world.... Oh, wait, Loonies. Um, yes, those run pert' near parity with USian greenbacks, too. Sometimes even better. ;)

  24. Count me in to the list.

  25. I'd like in. But you really ought to make a buck off it, for the trouble if nothing else.

  26. Please put me on the "would like to buy an autographed copy" list too, please. Thanks!

  27. Yes!

I'll take two, beautiful, both autographed. One goes into a zip-top bag ...
