Here Goes--

Installing a new scanner. Wish me luck. And I found some old projects that might be suited to it.

(Which reminds me, dullest SF novella ever written: Scanners Live In Peoria by Ropemaker Jones. Never caught on.)

    Actually if you surround Peoria with a wall of oysters it might be almost as bearable as the hideous void of space.

    For some reason, Cordwainer Smith's short story and that little web video with the Pusher Robot and Shover Robot have become inextricably intertwined in my mind over the last few years...
