Want? WANT!

The steampunk/dieselpunk Mille Miglia goggle jacket! Alas, spendy. (Also, this is what cars should look like. Automakers, take note; if you won't make flying cars, couldn't they at least look as if they might?)

  1. That jacket looks like something the Rocketeer would wear on his day off. I think it'd look better accessorized with a 1911 though.

Speaking of flying cars, have you ever seen the Retropolis Travel Bureau?

  4. If you want something visually similar but a bit more modern why not have a look at the Morgan Aero?

I have a 4+4 in British Racing Green, I admit i do feel a bit 'Mr. Toadish' at times, but how else could I get away with wearing a sheepskin leather jacket, leather flying helmet, goggles and a silk scarf? (Fashion sense was never my strong point!). I, shamefacedly, also admit to uttering the occasional 'Tally-Ho' too ;-)

  5. Y'know, if you rang me up and announced, "Mrs. Peel, we're needed," I would just swoon. ;)

Moggies are indeed lovely -- the reintroduced three-wheeler fascinates me.

  6. Oh yes. I have several models of that very car. It's a lovely one.

Still not the Most Beautiful Car of that era, though, google "Tulipwood Torpedo" for the holder of that prize. :)

  7. Er, Mrs. Peel...

I'd like a +8 with the big BMW motor but what I really, really want is a Bentley 4 1/2 litre Blower from 1928.

I admit to owning an indestructible umbrella from Real Self Defense (Hey, they won't let me carry my SIG here in PRUK) but I look too much like Odd-Job with a bowler on unfortunately.

Look, I'll call if you promise to wear the leather cat-suit! (I can dream can't I? ;-) )

As to the three wheeler, I can only recommend visiting Brands Hatch Motors and a test drive (take one on a track and it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on, just make sure you bring a change of underwear and something to pick the flies from between your teeth). Make a day of it and then pop over to Bisley for a spell.
