Wait, What, What?

How come every time the Feds "foil a terror plot," it later comes out they helped set it up in the first place?

What would you call a guy who keeps almost stealing your car, raping your dog and/or impugning the virtue of your sofa and widescreen TV, only to leap up at the last minute and nab his hapless accomplices with a flourish and fanfare, announcing he has Saved You Yet Again?

What if the hero helps tie Pauline to the railroad tracks? Even if he proceeds to save her, isn't he some kind of a fraud? --And a perv if he keeps doing it again and again?

  1. Unless they can stay in the media, how would they justify their budget?

  2. You (both) noticed that too, I see. The former radicals I read all say the same thing: The guy who yells the loudest about Direct Action is always a federal provocateur.

  3. Why am I hearing about an Undercover Agent doing his Job in the First Place?

Oh, it's an Election Year, and someone needs to "Prove" he's a Man.

    Never mind.

  4. Talking heads on the TeeWee this morning. "FBI director implores Congress to re-pass the Patriot Act additions approved in 2008, as they expire at the end of the year."

I knew when this thing first came out, there had to be an angle. Now we know what it is.

  6. i dunno. there are groups of boneheads out there who would like nothing better than to blow up an airliner or a building but they lack the expertise to do it. so it looks like the CIA found one of these groups, folks who would do it in a second if they only could, and just fed them a little piece of cheese. the boneheads bit and got caught. it sounds on the surface like a pretty slick piece of counter intel work with a guy on the inside and the device getting nowhere near an airplane. sounds like the Company men got one right this time.

  8. S-W, this is somewhat better than raiding and burning a church during the budget hearings. Somewhat.

  9. I haven't forgiven them for setting up the business men with a seller and the buyers of nonexistent ground to air missiles. Doesn't pay to be a business man caught in the middle of need for success.
