Venn Diagramming

This weekend in Indy, all at the same time: Indiana State Fair, Gen Con, Moto GP and the Fringe Festival.

I'm not sure if I should hide under the bed with a shotgun or stock up on caffeine pills. Possibly both.

  1. So....the paperback, delivered free with Prime, is $2.08 cheaper than the Kindle version, and Kindle doesn't require a UPS truck.

I've gotta be missing something here. Or, maybe Amazon is. Must be something to do with royalties.

  2. Publisher usually sets the price. (Also, we're in the wrong pew! You want to comments section for REAMDE, next door down.)

  3. What is it the Navy Seals say? You can Sleep when you're Dead?

I'd go with both Shotty and Pills if I were you.

  4. And don't forget the gunshow in Greenfield at the Hancock County Fairgrounds! I'll be set up there. (Ammo Buddy)

  6. Fringe festival? There's actually a festival celebrating leather cowboy riding apparel?

  7. Dave: close enough, actually, especially for a certain value of "cowboy."

  8. Not to pry, but do you even own a shotgun? It's sort of an informal civic thing. I disrecommend Western Field brand. But I do know where there's a Mossberg 20 GA. youth model that no one seems to want.

  9. Good Lord, who doesn't own a shotgun? I have Dad's old Remington 870, which I changed to a shorter but plenty legal barrel.

It's a backup. I'm sold on the Tam Theory for bedside defense: large-cal, snubby revolver: good grip for the defender, poor grip for the attacker, small enough to maneuver at very close range.

  10. Well, Rx, I didn't say "leather cowboy" riding apparel, did I? ....FABULOUS! ;-)
