Background? Check.

The more I think about, the more it makes sense to me that you ought to have to fill out a 4473 and pass a NICS check to become Commander-In-Chief.

C'mon, Gramps has to do so to buy a .410 shotgunette at the Wal-Mart, why shouldn't the guy with his finger on the "blow up the world or just some guy" button have to?

(Clearly riffed from Sarah Palin's CPAC speech; say what you will about her, she is still reliably making heads explode on the Left.)

  1. INTERESTING THAT POTUS COULD NOT PASS
    ENLISTMENT MUCH LESS COMMISSIONING
BACKGROUND CHECKS YET WE HAVE ALLOWED
HIM TO BE CINC ALSO MEMBERS OF CABINATE /STAFF LACK VETTING AS REQUIRED BY LAW WHY HAS THERE BEEN NO HUE AND CRY ABOUT THIS AS WELL AS NO ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT PERTAINING TO THE BETRAYAL OF THEIR OATHS OF OFFICE "TO SUPPORT PROTECT AND DEFEND
THE CONSTITUTION" WHICH APEAR TO BE TRASHED BY THEM EVERY DAY

    1. Because, Navigator, that's the way the Democrats and the media(but I repeat myself) want it. This is a point the GOP and libertarians - big and little "L" - have been lax in persueing, the naming of "Oath-breakers" as he cretins they are. 'Course, a lotta RINOS fit that tag as well....

  2. Sarah making heads explode on the Left is always a good thing. I'd still vote for her, if for no other reason that I think I'd expect her to put people who knew what they were about in positions of public trust...unlike the current occupant, whose criteria appear to be "what can you do for ME" as opposed to "what can you do for the people, your employers?"

  4. Actually Nav & John, if I remember correctly, articles of impeachment originate from the Senate. With O's mini-me acting as Senate majority leader an AOI vote would have as much chance as a budget bill created by the house.

  5. Good point, and I can only agree!

  6. Actually Dave, articles of impeachment originate in the House of Representatives. Once the office holder is "impeached" he goes on trial in the Senate with the Chief Justice presiding.

  7. Sarah Palin's speeches are entertaining. I can't say the same for the current White House occupant.

  8. Actually, I'd be in favor of not passing the 4473 disqualifying people from holding public office. Minorities and MAIG members hardest hit.

  9. Maybe politicians should be licensed rather than gun owners.
