! !!!

I don't know what it is -- for some reason, I've been suffering exclamationitis in post titles.  Yow!  ...Sorry.

H'mm, "EPA" is taken and Bang! Anonymous sounds way wrong.  Exclanon?  "Hi, my name is Roberta X and I'm addicted to imperative punctuation...."

  1. Thank God you're not Victor Borge.

  2. I think you mean, "Hi! I'm Roberta X! And I'm addicted to imperative punctuation!"

  3. A handy rule of thumb I encountered mumbledy years ago; "Exclamation points should be used only in dialogue, and then only when the speaker has just been eviscerated."

  4. Thank you for that Og.
I just got home from work and am now off to Youtube to find video of Mr. Borge. I count myself as very fortunate to have seem him perform live in Birmingham a couple of decades ago.

Got to see Red Skelton live as well.

Heathclif and Gertrude are so much better from fifteen feet away than they are on a tv screen.

  5. Be glad EPA is taken. It expands in the vernacular to "Eternal Pain in the Ass" - most pointedly "Uncle Sam's Eternal Pain in the Ass". Go for "SPUI" (Society of People Using Interrobangs).....
