Yum, Bacon

     "'Nitrates in bacon?'  Look, kid, when I was growin' up, we'd'a happily paid day rates if it would've got us bacon!"

  7. oh-dark-thirty on my boat, at anchor: I took the dog watch to let my crew sleep. Up reading. Inspired to cook bacon. The smell just woke up pretty much everyone. Amazing that when someone leaves a vent open and oil fumes from on deck wake people up they come out fussy. Bacon fumes wake them up, they happily come out to say hello and filch bacon.
