I'm Anonymously Famous

Yes, I am.  And I weigh more than I want to.  More bicycling, less Broad Ripple dining.

  2. It's a nice pic, Roberta. The socks and the sneakers are pretty flashy, in a good way.

  3. Leatherman and pocket knife, very cool.

If I order the photograph can I get it autographed?

  4. A very nice ride you have there, and you are so much braver and skilled than I. Helmet law or just good sense? Leatherman makes me think good sense.

  7. I will autograph.

Fuzzy: Pretty sure the "in plain sight" rule applies.

Earle: No helmet law, just good sense: riding the axle over the front wheel is a pretty standard crash mode for penny-farthings. --We do have a bell law for bikes ridden on the city trails, though.

  8. Roberta, is that the taller of the two penny-farthings you've mentioned in your collection? Also, I notice the "curling" grip you have - is that to reduce fatigue when riding? (I live next door to Trek HQ, and would love to buzz around there on a non-Trek penny farthing, myself - especially during their big group rides!)

  9. That is the taller, with a 36" wheel and plenty of clearance above it.

My grip varies from "under" to "over" and I would like to put slightly wider handlebars on the bike. Both grips work, under is a little less effort.

  10. A wonderful photo. I noted that in pockets and such, you have multitool, knife, flashlight ... ready for anything!

  12. Actually, that's sunscreen in my lower side pocket -- the flashlight is in my purse. (Just a little one on a keychain -- I usually carry a larger LED type but I'd packed light for the Art fair.)

The socks are...not actually the loudest pair I wear....

  13. I hope the pocket clip is attached to an ultra-small Kel-Tec .380. That's about what mine looks like. The socks are great BTW.
