Buzzwords Kill

     Speech codes, official and informal, as thought control: you thought it was a new thing?  Guess again!

     (This may count as "Godwinrolling." Should I have included a trigger warning?)

    And I thought "Enhanced Interrogation" was a new euphemism for distasteful methods of extracting information from people.

    The phrase mentioned in Wiki translates to "intensified interrogation", but it's not far from "enhanced" to "intensified".

  3. I, for one, clearly recall the MSM switching from 'Resistance Fighter' to 'Insurgent' all the way back in Gulf War One (at the request of the administration, natch...we couldn't very well have them described in terms that might evoke images of 1776, now could we?)
