A Glorious Sunset

The evening of 27 February.  I like to think this is for my Mom.
     She would have loved it.

  4. Maybe Mom dialed it up for you?

I see some magnificent sunsets from time time but I don't think Digital does a good job of catching lots of colors.

Nothing can beat that old KodaChrome.

  5. Thoughts, Prayers, and condolences from here.

Losing a Parent means that you lose one of your anchors on the world. You tend to drift for a while, even if you have other anchors out. It happens to all of us if we live long enough not to afflict our Funerals on our Parents, but it's not an easy thing to deal with.

Lord Bless and keep you in your time of pain.

  6. Bobbie. My heart cries with you. I too lost my mother a few years ago and still miss her.

  7. It truly is a fantastic sunset. perhaps one day soon it will quit raining here and we'll see its like. On the infrequent occasion I'm up to see the sun rise, I'm always reminded of my maternal grandfather. He was the first of his family to attend college, and became a civil engineer, so for him, being up with the sun was a sign of a day to be spent hunting or fishing with me or one of my cousins, a treasured rarity, though we didn't see it that way at the time. what I wouldn't give to have those times back is a very short list indeed.

@Paul - Fujifilm's X series digital cameras come closer to the classic Kodachrome feel than anything else I've seen, if you use their "classic chrome" film emulation.
