Too Much Crazysauce

I keep trying to wall off the fscknuttery and it keeps on oozing through the cracks, vaulting over the top and burrowing up from beneath.

Too darned much.  Too darned much.  I'm not gonna wade into it today, not even to disprove, mock and dismiss.  You're determined to jump off the cliff and try to fly by flapping your hands?  To breathe water?  I don't care.  Try not to bleed on the bystanders.

  2. It is getting exhausting, is it not?

I'd like to think that literally everyone isn't on edge the way it kind of feels right now. But honestly, it kind of feels like everyone is on the edge.

Maybe my own personal experience is unique, but in all honesty, as long as I don't listen to all the folks telling me how absolutely effed everything is right now, everything feels just...

...kind of normal, with a few more extra hassles, but nothing Earth shaking.

Yeah, we've got some problems to address, but at least at the moment, none of it is existential, and none of it is unsolvable. The number of people that seem ready to flip the table and start over from scratch is just really disconcerting.

  3. You keep saying you're non political, but you keep bringing up other peoples politics.
Freud probably has an ism about that!

  4. Gee, Spartacus, when did I ever say I was non political? There is no political party that is a good fit with my opinions. A lot of the Republicans have gone nuts and a few have gone in for authoritarianism. A greater proportion of Democrat office-holders are sane, but their grasp of economics is weak at best and most of them think an unlimited government is an unlimited good, which I disagree with. The LP always was nuts, but their craziness has become unpalatable to me. And the other parties aren't worth considering.

I'm political as can be. I have never claimed otherwise. However, facts have no politics. Accuracy has no politics. Perhaps that is what has confused you. Maybe you and Freud should go play in traffic.

  5. Just a well meaning question here- Where is your exposure to the crazy coming from? TV? Internet? If so, might I suggest limiting exposure? This seems like a recurring theme here and you're one of the saner voices, so take care of yourself.

  6. Thank you Roberta. Your last reply is classic. It puts into words a lot of my thoughts on today's political mess.
