BlogShoot?

Last month's BlogShoot at Eagle Creek Park Pistol Range was a success! We could do the same thing this coming Sunday; I'm overdue for some range time ("How much practice do you need?" "More!" At least I do, YMMV).

Same plan, totally informal, Iggle Crick opens at 10 ack emma and bloggers & readers just show up as suits them. Hoping we can get Tam to shoot a little -- you know how shy and retiring she is. Ahem.

  1. Is that range pistol only? I've never shot there. (Truth be told, I haven't shot anything for probably 15 years, so any practice at all would be a good thing for me.)

  2. .22 rifles and shotguns are okay; "high-power" rifles (any actual rifle cartridge other than .22) are not okay. I am not sure about pistol-cal long guns -- their website may have the current ruling.

    ...I asked, .223 does not count as .22. ;)

  3. I was kinda planning on being there anyway, so this is just peachy with me. :)

  4. Talk about splitting hairs...

So, no 8mm Mauser :) Eh, maybe I'll bring the Winchester Model 24 and blow the dust out of it. I don't think it's been fired since I was a kid. On the other hand, the recoil may finish what's left of my rotator cuff :) We'll see.

  5. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks who are willing to share their playtoys... :)

(WV: "noospat". It made me laugh typing it.)

  6. Damn. I made it for the end of the range session last time, and am most pleased that nobody got to see my pathetic targets.

We need to arrange a range/blogmeet where we can shoot long guns.

    Check your mail, Ms X.

  7. We can shoot long guns at Iggle Crick, but no centerfar raffle cartrigz.

You can bring your .22 raffles or your pistol caliber carbeans, og.

  8. I'm bringing my shotgun; I have a pistol but I don't like firing it.
