Yes, and I've encountered people who didn't know a quart is 25% of a gallon. As well as people who knew that a quarter is 1/4 of a dollar, but had never noticed the similarity between the words quart and quarter.

And their vote counts just as much as yours. They can buy power tools with no questions asked.
