Welcome to the new Golden Age of Woo, where magical thinking, positive confession, 'manifesting', and 'living your truth', vibes, and sundry bits of New Age drivel are now the standard. Plus, there's the selection of classic pseudoscience and refurbished theories that are sure to work This Time.
And if people don't like what some mean scientist is saying, well, we've never had more copes and alternate theories available- all carefully tailored to the full spectrum of political beliefs.
I knew and cared about a Ph.D. who believed in homeopathy and was using a telescope to imbue water with energy from a distant star (not our sun) while teaching high school chemistry and was the coordinator for the school district's science and math programs.
