Disconcerting

Shades of James Bond: Officer Killed In Shooting Aboard British Nuclear Submarine.

I don't care how you slice it, that's disturbing.

As a former Member of the U.S. Submarine Force, this REALLY disturbs me. But the Brit Press and MOD is keeping a lid on this one. One can hope it is just a Disgruntled Employee going Postal because he couldn't hit the Beach First, but I'm praying that the IslamoFascists haven't penetrated the Brit Silent Service like they did at Fort Hood.

The amazing thing is that he used an SA80.....and it fired when it was supposed to! And, apparently more than once.

Disturbing. Why are police conducting the investigation of a criminal act commited upon a RN submarine? Suprisingly this incident sound's like something from a Douglas Reeman novel.

Gotta love the Brit press, made the whole sound like an AD. When you have an accident you get injured, when you get shot your wounded.

Okay I checked the dictionary, injured can fit too. Well you get my drift:)

I remember watching on Discovery Channel, years ago, a tour of a British boomer boat. When someone asked what they had to defend themselves with if a bunch of bad boys boarded and poured down the hatches, they produced some puny-looking sticks, about half the size of a Little League baseball bat. Yup, ICBMs and sticks, and nothing in between.

I do hope and trust that the USN gives the guys at the brow actual firearms, but from what I've read, they're not allowed to be loaded.

An unloaded gun is very like an empty fire extinguisher.
