What happened to those microwave oven cleaning wipes? I think Easy Off made them: You put the packet into the oven on high for a minute, it popped open and covered the inside of the oven with Evil Icky Stuff Cleaning Fluid, and after a minute you wiped it up.
Riddle me this: Why isn't there a microwave with a removable liner that separates into five pieces for easy cleaning? You could drive the turntable magnetically to avoid having to seal a hole in the bottom one, and after that it would be a simple matter of layering the sides so that anything that gets loose runs inward as it runs downward.
Reflectoscope's post reminded me of my last boss' son. Zappers had just hit the market at $700 plus. Said son decided to put a tinfoil wrapped sandwich in one of an appliance store's display models and hit the switch.
There was a really lovely miniature lightning display. From the distances, I would guess at around 250 KV minimum. Before he could pull the plug the Zapper was zapped.

At work you usually needed two of them...

Workplace microwaves: the reason 99% of the time I eat leftovers cold. Seriously.
