Shoulder

So, it's still bothering me, especially towards the end of the day, but not quite as much as before.  It's early days yet.

It may take several shots to make a noticeable difference. Pain relief from steroids is sometimes slow to start and takes repeating for full effect. I have experienced better relief after my second round.

Doc says we'll do another one. If that doesn't put things right then arthroscopy will be next.

I hope you don't have to take it that far and get better with just the injections. Like you, I spent the last years of my working career crawling and cavorting in cable bundles and sub flooring, which can really aggravate the joints.

Best wishes for a full recovery.

P.S. would still like a pic of the penny farthing!

I would suggest checking with a physiatrist(sp?) (sports medicine). These doctors specialize in joint problems of athletes, mostly. Check with the sports teams in your area for possible referrals.

About twenty years ago, a friend had a loose shoulder joint. They used some sort of heat production to shrink the connective tissue, which fixed most of the joint problem for him. May have still been an R&D process at that time, by a big name Sports Medicine group here in the Bay Area.
