Cold and wet, as Indiana sometimes is at this time of year, but I can at least hope the pollen and other allergy-inducing this will be greatly reduced. The amaryllis has come inside for the year, to spend the cold months in the basement (and will need to be trimmed back) and if things dry up again by the weekend, it will be time to return to gathering up the leaves.
And I still need to buy Halloween candy! Time not only flies, it's supersonic.

You know what they say, time flies like the wind.
And fruit flies like bananas.
Do you buy too much so you'll have leftover candy? I get the same amount every year, even though the trend has been fewer trick-or-treaters each year. It cheers me up to see a bowl with a bunch of Smarties and peanut M&Ms and those little tiny Snickers bars the morning of November 1st.
If I buy the candy early, I will have to buy it again. That's because of well, leakage!
Or the more reasonable explanation is a future race is using time traveling teleportation technology to steal candy.
