Read It. Read The Links.

Reason magazine may have found the next Michael A. Bellesiles: Nancy MacLean, author of a hatchet-job bio on one of the early lights in the Public Choice movement.  She certainly has an agenda, and is quite willing to dream up quotes to match.  Have a look.  Don't sperg out, follow the links.  Paging Mr. Fisk....

I don't know if I'm willing to ascribe my acceptance of people "dying in the streets", since as a libertarian that's always the consequences of reduction of government programs, to any position I might occupy on the spectrum. I think it's more a facet of my misanthropy.

I must be autistic. I really don't like any government overly much. But then I would not call the cops if someone broke in either. And yes, I will call out your little urchin if they do stuff in the store that in more than look.

As to this harpy, did not buy her book and just another reason I don't think that site has the right name.

I must be a bad libertarian -- I don't want anyone dying in the streets who doesn't want to, or who has not exposed themselves to that possibility by initiating force. I just don't think government does the job of saving them very well and would rather see greater scope for private action.
