Superglued

Yesterday, I pointed at a piece of equipment at work...and stuck a finger past the screen on an oversized "muffin fan" and into the blades.  Sliced across the tip of my left ring finger pretty good and it would not stop bleeding.

So I had to go off to our company immediate-care provider, expecting stitches.  What I got instead was medical-grade superglue and a bandage for padding.

Off to see how it survives that shower now.

Having been on the receiving end of said super-glue multiple times I can attest that it actually holds up pretty well, though in the interest of full disclosure all my cuts were between wrist and elbow, not on as active a location as a fingertip.

In a pinch the non-medical superglue works fairly well.

Ouch ! I hope it heals quickly.

I recall reading somewhere that sealing minor (and not so minor) cuts was the impetus for the development of "super glue".

I have trouble believing it - I wouldn't have assumed that it was safe to add isocyanoacrylates to an open wound.
