The vet called at 6:30 this morning. Very slight improvement in Tommy's hydration; they'd've liked to see more but with an old, old cat you can't push it. He's otherwise stable.
And that's all I know for now.

This sounds similar to the problem we had with Snoopy during his last 6 months. Hopefully the vet can get Tommy hydrated and there won't be any concurrent renal failure.
Poor poor kitty. Give him a scritch for me when you get the chance. I hope he mends well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Tommy.
He and you are very much in our thoughts. Zydeco is getting a lot of spillover indulgence on Tommy's behalf.
Keep us posted, OK?
Hydrating a cat is no big deal if you need to do it routinely. A friend of mine had to do it for her cat for awhile.
Check your e-mail, Roberta.
I'm sorry to hear about this.
