Do you know if they use the ShotSpotter system in Indianapolis, Roberta? They're using it here in Charlotte and in Wilmington, NC, where they have a lot of problems with gunfire and a "no snitch" ethos by the restless natives.
As far as I can tell, they do not -- or not yet.
Broad Ripple would be greatly improved by shutting down about half of the bars and turning it back into a place of twee little shops like it was in living memory.
On the other hand, it would be out of business in five minutes if that happened.
And the proposal to shut down Broad Ripple Avenue to traffic between College and Guilford from midnight to 4AM is just brilliant! Well, that is, if brilliant has somehow started to mean "idiotic".
The gap between the two keeps slipping -- but always towards "idiotic."
